Position
Summary:
The Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (VP/COO) of the OneCare Vermont Accountable Care Organization (OCV) is a highly visible and strategically important role at the center of population-based health care and payment reform efforts in Vermont for the Network and its OCV partner Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health (DHH). The VP/COO will be a central figure leading and coordinating OCV's operational functions delivered jointly by resources from the Network and DHH. The role also includes significant participation in setting OneCare Vermont's strategy and executive-level stakeholder communication. OCV functions led and coordinated by the VP/COO include Clinical Operations and Quality Improvement, Informatics/Analytics, Finance, Network Management and Project Management/General Operations, and Commercial and Governmental Relations and Strategy.
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree is required. A graduate degree (MPH, MBA, MSN, MD, DO or other relevant field of study) is highly preferred for this position.
Experience:
The position requires 10 or more years of health care experience in general operational management or through a specific focus in the population health care, care management, or managed care arenas. Previous experience at the Executive Director, VP, or CEO/COO levels is highly desired and experience in network-based organizations under population economic incentives would be highly valued. Strong communications and facilitative leadership skills are expected. Position requires experience in one or more of the following areas: public or private insurance/health plans, provider-side managed care, health care provider operational/clinical leadership, or practicing physician/clinician with material administrative or financial leadership duties.
