The ideal candidate will have experience with Electronic Assembly Processes. This Engineering position is directed at supporting our ongoing electro-mechanical processes, as well as working to improve them in a continuous improvement, LEAN, Flow based manufacturing environment.
These processes involve though hole soldering, wave soldering, surface mount component placement & processing, circuit board cleaning, conformal coating, heat and pressure processing, and electrical and photometric testing. A leading candidate needs to be highly self-motivated and detail orientated, as well as being able to manage multiple projects at the same time. Additionally, experience with Design of Experiments (DOE/DOX), Statistical Process Control (SPC/6 Sigma), LEAN and/or Synchronous Flowed based manufacturing is highly desired.
A Bachelor of Engineering Degree and/or extensive relevant experience in a Manufacturing or Process Engineering role is a requirement. The ideal candidate will also possess very strong written and verbal communication skills, with strong experience in data collection and analysis, as well as familiarity with ISO9000/AS9100 based Quality Management Systems.
Astronics works a flexible 9/80 schedule (9hr Mon-Thurs, 8hrs Fri #1 and Off Fri #2) Enjoy a three day weekend every other week. Due to military nature of our business, US citizenship is required.
