We teach through hands on projects and we prioritize student-teacher relationships and inspiring students to engage in their own education - class sizes are 10-15.
This position teaches classes in Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry, and Outer Space in addition to classes of the teacher's choosing in areas such as English, Phys Ed, or Art.
Our academics are taught at primarily a middle school level and we move through material at a slower pace than most high schools.
We do not assign homework and we focus on learning through experience.
A basic understanding of science and willingness to learn what you don't know is sufficient.
Teachers at LCS have a great deal of independence, flexibility, and the ability to be creative within their classroom.
We offer a tight knit community where staff have ample time for collaboration and communication with one another.
Skills in classroom management and relationship building are necessary to be happy at this job.
A teaching license is not required, a bachelor's degree is required.
