Development Project ManagerPosition Objective:
The Director of Development leads, oversees and manages the organization's fundraising efforts and works closely with LISTEN's executive director, senior management team, and board of directors to play a pivotal role in the growth of the organization and its mission and vision.
This key leadership position requires the use of strategic and critical thinking and is responsible for developing and executing a fund development plan in coordination with a small team.
Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy (15%) o Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and goals and includes database management, setting fundraising targets, and timelinesDonor Relations (70%) o Cultivate, nurture, solicit, and steward existing gifts and donors, including major donors o Identify and qualify potential gifts and donors o Manage and direct the development and communications staff, including public relations o Manage donor stewardship including acknowledgment letters and tax receiptsGrant writing (5%) o Identify, manage, co-write and manage all organizational grantsFundraising Events (5%) o Plan and execute revenue generating and community engagement fundraising eventsCorporate partnerships (5%) o Collaborate with local businesses and corporations to establish and strengthen partnerships, sponsorships and cause marketing initiativesOther o Other projects as assigned to support development effortRequirements:
o Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree and/or CFRE credential preferred o Minimum of 3-5 years of fund development experience in a professional position o Knowledge and experience in the nature and dynamics of philanthropy, ethics, motivations for giving and volunteering, research and cultivation practices, annual support and/or capital campaigns, solicitation techniques including face-to-face asking, grant writing, special events and fundraising reporting o Excellent written and verbal skills o Willingness to provide information for background check processing.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit.
The employee will occasionally be required to stand, walk, bend and reach.
Must be able to hear, speak and talk.
The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 15 pounds.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
