Job Details:
Under the direction of the Customer Service Manager, handle calls and correspondence from patients or their representatives using knowledge of medical terminology and various financial classifications or health plans, general laws and policies of the health insurance industry and basic coding knowledge. Interact with other departments within Revenue Management and throughout the Dartmouth-Hitchcock institution.
Candidate must be hardworking, dependable and display excellent customer service skills. Able to work in a fast paced high volume environment with the ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of three years of experience in a financial/accounting or health care management setting, or the equivalent required. Demonstrated keyboarding or electronic data processing skills required, prior knowledge of Word and Excel preferred. Excellent communication skills required. Demonstrated outstanding multitasking, organizational and problem solving skills, with acuity for systematic thinking required. Must be able to work independently and effectively organize complex work processes.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
